Dear CUETians,
We are glad to know that CUETians in Australia Inc. has successfully completed its annual general meeting for 2021-2022 and formed a new Executive Committee for 2022-2024 on 29 October 2022 at Sydney, NSW. A significant number of CUETians attended the AGM nationally through a live zoom session as well. At this meeting, the engineering community discussed some innovative ideas to move the organisation forwards and serve the community on a bigger scale.
For the formation of a new Executive Committee for 2022-2024, AGM has elected Engineer Abdullah Mamoon, PhD as President, who is a global multi-talented personality and previously led a few engineering communities in Australia and Gulf countries. Engineer Md Abul Hossain, MIEAust, CDCP, ITIL(F), PRINCE2(F) has been elected as General Secretary for the 2nd term for his outstanding performance and leadership approaches. Aside from these, the team has congratulated the organization's founder member Engineer Mohammad Moniruzzaman as Vice President-1, Engineer Mohsin Ahmed as Vice President-2, Engineer Tafsirojjaman, PhD as Vice President-3 for the second term, Engineer Rezaul Karim for being promoted as Treasurer, Engineer C. M. F. S. REZA, PhD as Organizing Secretary, Engineer Mohammad Towhidur Rahman as Social Welfare Secretary for the 2nd term, Engineer Parvez Akter, PhD, MIEAust as Sport Secretary, Engineer Md Ekramul Hossain, PhD as Publication Secretary for the 2nd term, and Engineer Md Tawhidul Alam as Event Secretary.
The new Executive Committee members thanked the previous committee under the leadership of M. NEAZ SHEIKH, PhD, for their significant contributions in the last couple of years during the most challenging time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The new team looks enthusiastic and is looking forward to working together in order to boost the Australian economy and serve CUET alumni globally.
